New PSP-3000 Colors Released

New PSP-3000 Colors Released

Sony’s Playstation Portables just got new colors! Coming as limited edition Value Packs are two dual-color models – one in black and red, the other in white and blue – along with a 2GB Memory Stick Pro DUO, a pouch, and a wiping cloth – the latter two in the same color as the back panels of the respective devices.

Also announced is the long-term availability of the Blossom Pink color sold last March as a limited edition. The Value Packs will be 17,800 JPY, and the Blossom Pink model will be sold for 16,800 JPY; both are scheduled for a November release.

As a tie-in with Capcom’s Monster Hunter 3 Portable – admittedly, not a popular hit outside Japan – is the “Hunter’s Model”, a black PSP-3000 with gold linings, as well as decals on the front and back. [All three overseas Monster Hunter players rejoice.] Also bundled is a 2200mAh large-capacity battery pack (and a slight redesign of the body of the PSP to make it easier to handle with the large battery), and a preinstalled custom Monster Hunter theme. The PSP and large-capacity battery go for 19,800 JPY and will go on sale on the 1st of December.
