Nokia World 2010 started in London yesterday, and four new upcoming cell phones were introduced.
All four phones have capacitive touchscreens of the same resolution, although screen sizes vary, and they run the new Symbian^3 OS with Ovi Maps car and pedestrian navigation. All cameras except the N8 have 8mpx cameras with dual LED flash, as well as a secondary in-facing camera for video calls; the N8 has a 12mpx camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash. The E7, as a business device, has a slide-out keyboard and a tilt-up display, giving it a more three-dimensional shape akin to a laptop than a simple flat sliderphone; it also has the ability to make PowerPoint slides on-the-go, as well as enhanced security support; it’s also the only model out of the four that doesn’t have a microSD card slot – which this writer thinks is most likely another security feature.
All four phones are slated to go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year.
