Hitachi LifeStudio content-aware external HDD on its way to Japan.

Two month after being announced and released in the USA, the new Hitachi LifeStudio line-up of external HDD are now finally coming to Japan.
These products will be available in four different flavors with the LifeStudio Mobile and LifeStudio Mobile Plus (320/500GB), as well as the LifeStudio Desk and LifeStudio Desk Plus (1/2TB). While technically these drives are just dumb “Data” banks, Hitachi worked with Cooliris to add a clever media management software in order go sort and browse your data. Alongside Cooliris Hitachi is also offering a clever Backup utility that will save all your PC Data in a just a click.

If you were interested in these products but where stuck in Japan, we are glad to report to you that these LifeStudio products will finally be available in Japan starting next month.
