4 new IPS-based LG monitors

4 new IPS-based LG monitors

From now on, Apple is no longer the only company to use LED-backlit IPS screens in their products.
LG has announced 4 new desktop monitors combining IPS panel technology with LED backlighting: the IPS206T (20″), IPS226V (21.5″), IPS236V and IPS2321P (both 23 inches). With the exception of the 20 inches, they all have 1080p resolution and refresh with a 6ms response time. Like all IPS panels, they feature a wide 178-degree viewing angle, but they also have a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 250cd/m2 brightness.
The design is kept in black, glossy plastic and only the professional model IPS231P has height, tilt, swivel, pivot and built-in speakers. IPS226V and IPS236V both feature HDMI and all of the monitors have D-SUB (VGA) and DVI.

Apple has been using LG as an IPS LED supplier for the last couple of years. LG actually can make high quality stuff, unfortunately in the beginning when LG first came up they provoked some quality-doubts by literally producing everything from computer parts to micro wave ovens & vacuum cleaners…
