NEC’s first Intel Dual Core CPU laptop, the VY16E LV-W

NEC has just announced their first Dual core CPU laptop, the VY16E/LV-W with a T2300 (Yonah) CPU clocked at 1.66Ghz. The machine is meant for the professional market and will come with 512MB of DDR2-SDRAM (PC2-4200), a 945GM Express graphics card, a 14.1″ SXGA+ screen, XP Pro, 40GB of HDD space and a CD-RW/DVD combo drive. The machine will weigh 1.96kg and cost 2137 EUR. Hopefully a TabletPC version will emerge soon, so that I can replace my current one…
