Eizo Announces New Multitouch Display

Eizo Nanao Corporation announced a new 23-inch multitouch display, the EIZO FlexScan T2351W-L, to go on sale on the 15th of October. The infrared touchscreen (which allows for operation even through gloves) is mounted behind reinforced glass (rated at 6 Mohs) and supports pinch-to-zoom and spin gestures, compatible with multitouch-enabled programs for supported operating systems like Microsoft’s Windows 7. The display has D-Sub (15-pin), DVI-D (24-pin) and HDMI inputs, and also comes with a “Laid Back Stand”, with which the monitor can be set between 15 degrees and 65 degrees from a position perpendicular to the desk. Another important feature is the Paper Mode, a color and contrast setting that most closely resembles paper, making it easier to read E-books and other text on the screen with minimal strain.
The display weights 7.6 kg and is 557 mm x 204.5~375.5 mm x 194~367 mm. The display is openly priced, and Eizo’s Direct store is currently accepting preorders at 69,800 JPY.
