Viewsonic unveiled a hybrid PMP – E-book Reader

You guessed, IFA again! But this time, it’s Viewsonic who caused the chatter by unveiling the MB-P702, a PMP hybrid E-book Reader.
It features a 7” touchscreen with 800×480 resolution and supports 1080p HD playback and a HDMI output with varied file format support (RM, RMVB, WMV, MKV, VOB and AVI) while sound files can be encoded in WMA, MP3, FLAC and APE.
The E-book function is capable of reading PDF, TXT, EPUB, CHM, HTML, PDB and UMD document files.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any information on the price of the product, although it will probably cost much less than the ViewPad 7.
