Tabi Nabi, Panasonic first GPS approved by Kyoto’s Geisha.

Panasonic unveiled this morning a new GPS, the CN-SG500 Series also call “Tabi Nabi”. Unlike most other GPS, this model has been primarily designed has an handled GPS rather than a car mounted one.
In a rather bulky and not so elegant PDA like design, the CN-SG500 is the ideal companion for any Japanese traveling around and curious to know about their surrounding area and willing to find in a minute their way around.
Equipped with a large 5” Wide touchscreen (LED backlight) and a 2Mpix Camera, the CN-SG500 goes beyond what you could expect from such GPS. The idea here is not only to use your GPS as a Digital Road trip block note by taking picture of your Point of Interest, but also by sharing them online a bit like the “Sekai Camera” does with AR (Augmented Reality), giving you the possibility to turn anyone into a tour guide.
The second sale point of this new GPS, is its capacity to store and load different Travel Advisor Magazines or Guide, that we will provide you with the most accurate information wherever you are traveling in Japan.
