Toshiba Lumileo P100 and M200: two new pico projectors

Toshiba Lumileo P100 and M200: two new pico projectors

Well, we have to admit, usually, pico projectors are just bright enough to be used in a dark room.
The P100, with his 14 lumens, his resolution of 640×480 VGA and the 80 minutes battery life is pretty average.
However, the M200 might worth the try because of his built-in media player (compatible Divx, MPEG 4 H.264, MP3, Word, Power Point, Excel, and PDF) the 2GB built-in memory and the micro SD card slot. No PC attached is necessary.
They can be connected to digital cameras, laptops, smartphones, portable media players, and game consoles.
They will both be available in Europe during the fourth quarter throughout Europe. Prices are not yet known.

Toshiba Europe GmbH today unveiled a new range of portable pico-presenters: the LUMILEO P100 and the LUMILEO M200. Thanks to an energy saving LED light source, the light-weight presenters offer a long battery life of up to 80 minutes. Targeted at private users and professionals alike, the deep-blue LUMILEO devices project large, clear and crisp pictures from a wide choice of sources. The LUMILEO P100 and the LUMILEO M200 will be available during the fourth quarter throughout Europe.

Small presenters, huge demand

“From sharing photos stored on a mobile phone, playing games or browsing the web, to carrying out a business presentation to a prospective customer – these new products offer the opportunity to overcome the limitations of display sizes of portable electronic devices which often tend to be very small,” says Marco Perino, General Manager Digital Life Products and Services. According to Display Research1 the demand for pocket presenters will increase with a
compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 88% for units between 2010 and 2018.

LUMILEO P100 – handheld presenter for business and fun

Though the LUMILEO P100 is a very small device that fits into even the smallest pocket, the pico-presenter punches above its weight: Its long-lasting LED light combined with the high-quality optics allow users to project pictures up to a size of 152 cm (measured diagonally) onto a wall. The energy-saving LED technology and the high-capacity battery allow users to display videos with full brightness for up to 80 minutes without need to recharge the battery. In lower light conditions that allow a reduction in brightness, the battery life increases accordingly. The pico-presenter can be connected to, and project content from laptops, smartphones, digital cameras, games consoles and portable media players.

LUMILEO M200 – two in one device stores and displays content

With its internal storage capacity of 2 gigabytes, the micro SD card slot, and the built-in media player, the LUMILEO M200 can even work without an external storage device. This makes the small portable presenter a very versatile stand-alone device. Ease of use for undiluted fun or slick business presentations The small size of the deep-blue LUMILEO devices doesn’t compromise usability. An easy-to-use wheel helps to adjust the focus, while a five-way key pad helps to navigate the menu.
