One more LED TV for Toshiba at IFA 2010: REGZA 42SL738 series

As well as this premium range, Toshiba also used IFA as an opportunity to announce other new models such as the Regza 42SL738 – which it describes as its entry level large screen LED TV, but still has full 1080p HD 42″, a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a refresh rate of 100Hz and the Active Vision M100 (supposed to improve the fluidity for the Blu-Ray).
Coming with the Toshiba’s LED touch control panel, a tuner, 4x HDMI, 1 USB, the new REGZA 42SL738 will be available from October 2010.

Toshiba also announced smaller Regza SL televisions, with a 19-inch, 26-inch and 32-inch screen designed as a second television.

Toshiba UK today announced the addition of the new REGZA 42SL738 to its growing LED range – a high-quality, entry-level LED TV that offers a Full HD resolution, advanced picture quality and an all-new Toshiba design.
The new REGZA 42SL738 blends energy saving LED backlighting with a series of high-quality features, including proprietary Active Vision processing and extensive connectivity. Each model also boasts a new, super slim design, combining a sleek gloss black finish with stylish silver accenting – stylish LED performance at an equally attractive price.
Sharp, smooth images
The perfect TV for the modern living room, the REGZA 42SL738 features a full 1920x1080p HD resolution, allowing viewers to enjoy stunning HD content in maximum detail. Its 107cm (42”) screen provides the perfect platform for blockbuster action movies and fast-moving sports content by using Toshiba’s advanced Active Vision M100 processing offering a smooth cinematic playback of all on-screen action.
With a refresh rate of 100Hz, Active Vision M100 delivers vivid image reproduction and ultra smooth motion. Motion blur is drastically reduced in and is perfectly optimised for Blu-ray
content shot at native cinematic frame rates, providing flawless, judder-free playback of high definition movies.
All-new Toshiba design
The inclusion of LED backlighting significantly reduces the thickness of the TV chassis allowing the REGZA 42SL738 to boast a sleek new design concept, which combines with the impressive specification to provide a compelling balance of imaging performance and style. Each model now boasts a super-slim depth of approximately 37mm across the range.
Adding further style to the package, the REGZA 42SL738 also features Toshiba’s LED touch control panel, which is situated at the front of the bezel and illuminates when pressed to offer instant access to menus and controls. The clever design perfectly complements the high level of performance, creating a truly desirable package to satisfy the most demanding user.
Connect to your favourite content
The REGZA 42SL738 also enables viewers to enjoy digital content out of the box, with the inclusion of a tuner that offers instant access to Freeview broadcasts with no external receiver required. Perfect for lovers of TV, Freeview provides access to a wide selection of free-to-air content with no subscription required – allowing users to enjoy their favourite programmes through their existing aerial.
Each REGZA 42SL738 model also includes a range of inputs, offering the flexibility to connect to a range of devices simultaneously. 4x HDMI inputs provide concurrent connectivity with Blu-ray players, high definition set-top boxes, games consoles and HDMI-enabled laptops, while USB connectivity provides added versatility, enabling users to display JPEG images and play MP3 audio from compatible USB 2.0 memory sticks.
The new REGZA 42SL738 will be available from October 2010.
