NEC new BIO-Plastic will change the way we build mobile devices.
Last Wednesday, NEC of Japan announced that they successfully developed a new Bio-Plastic where 70% or more is actually made from non eatable raw material like cashew nuts shell.
The idea behind this new Bio-Plastic is to use and recycle byproduct made from oil extraction for example and to build more “eco-friendly” product for the environment and easier to recycle.
Of course there are other things to consider here as well, not only NEC can offer better ECO product, but Bio-plastics made by these cashew nuts shell is also twice as strong as as Lactic acid Bio-Plastic, 1.3x times stronger than cellulose type ones and 3x time more resistant to water than the same Cellulose Type Bio-Plastics.
Now, the good news is that we are talking about a technology that will be very soon comes into many of our Mobile gadgets since NEC will start proposing equipment with this new Bio-Plastic within the year 2013.
