“Old school” headset for mobile phone

The Phonedaily website presents an interesting news today about quite an uncommon mobile phone headset. So what do we need? A very old receiver, some DIY time… et voila, you can replace that regular headset with this classy set. I don’t really see myself walking on the streets using one of these, but the idea is cool nevertheless!

I saw a lady about a month ago using one of these things while I was driving down the street. For a moment I thought I was loosing my mind….I guess the concept is cool if you are into the whole vintage telecom look.

see any familiarities?

From the Akiba Team’s write up it looks like they don’t know much about whats new and original in the phone world. I don’t want to read about rip off products.

Pokia started this first a long time ago

Well in order to be correct I admit that since we are living in Japan and that we only concentrate on Asian Stuff we tend to miss what is new in the rest of the world… But hey that life and for 1 news which is not fully new for you, how many are not ever been seen where you are

Also I must admit, mobile phone are less and less interesting… back when I was working on an ITU Project (International Telecommunication Union), I had the chance to test the very first 3G phone with video conf before it was even announced… this was the coolest time ever… the launch of the 3G, now phone are quite borring nothing really amazing…

just to comment on the last two posts…

we founded pokia but had to change the name (you can check this by going to http://www.pokia.com

secondly HULGER is in over 40 stores in Japan and has been since June this year. we are also in Hong Kong and Singapore so we’re well represented in the region
