They still have the coolest amp case on the market. Thats why they modify it for the low range. The best you could ever get, was the STR-DA1200ES. It was cheap like a sin and had all the advantages of the high range amps. Some beautyful details like the stamped not glued SONY logo, too.And 7 X 100 Watts : ) So where do we get a real revolution here? HD audio is useless in germany anyway, they just give us the old DD & DTS sound. Don´t get me wrong, DTS is great, but how come we buy this stuff? Are germans stupid? Maybe, hmm. The last heavy duty from SONY was the 9100. Since then it is just modellpflege ; ). Otherwise I would go and buy tomorrow – I won´t. I have the money, but I want satisfaction for it!
