Let’s Visit Tokyo – The Train edition

Let’s Visit Tokyo - The Train edition

Good news everybody we are (normally) back… The weather is still hot here but things are slowly getting better, and slowly but surely we are not working providing you new videos.
Also, Today’s video is a bit special, we will not guide to any particular area in Tokyo but we will instead ride the train together and commute from Omori, where our office is to Jiyugaoka where I live…. Enjoy !

PS : This Video has been entirely shot with a Sony NEX-5 without any tripod…

    Looks like very good

Wow! This video is amazing!!! I love your “Lets visit Tokyo” series, but this video is especially good, cause it shows daily interaction with ordinary people, not only beautiful views of the city. I was in Tokyo this June, and this video portrays JR so well! Why you always take stable shots in your videos? Do you afraid of shaky camera? And how you make this from the floor cuts? Did you just place your camera on the floor in center of train car hall, and people step over it?

  • Sorin

This was a wonderful idea- to make a video of JR. Can You please continue with metro? I was there in Tokyo but I had no chance to use subway…

Thanks for another great video. They’re always fun to watch.

Train stations in HK should have seats and waiting areas too…

Spotted a guy wearing one of those Uniqlo Eva 2.0 t-shirts at 10:30, lol! Never bought it myself, though.

    hello!

loved the video… just wondering why the corners of the video appeared darker? is it the type of lens used?

also, what type of mic was used for this video?

    thanks! :) D

Thanks you for the refresh of my past trip last March 2010 I love the train system in Japan so much..a little Deja Vu for me.

Thanks for the Video. Although the Sony NEX-5 video output looks good, however I found your other Videos done with Canon 5D MKII to be sharper and with a much better vivid color. This is specially true for the indoor video shots.
    Regards
