Motorcycle helmet with integrated music
Nikkei.Net spills the beans on the release of a motorcycle helmet with integrated audio speakers/headphones by the Japanese company MMI Tech. Granted, In Japan, the motorcycle helmets look more like a construction site helmet with some padding, and whether you have one on your head or not in case of a crash, it doesn’t make much difference. This also reminds us of the company TUKA that released a phone which you didn’t have to hold against your ear in order to understand what the other party was saying, but the success of that device was less than nothing. This technology was called “Bone conduction” and the sound was transferred via your skull. And this technology seems to be used in this helmet too, as the Japanese government prohibited the use of conventional speakers because they would be too dangerous for the person who would wear this kind of helmet.
