I am sure that you have all heard about Sekai Camera, a software developed by a Japanese company that thanks to AR (Augmented Reality) will let you see comments, notes and remarks from other USERS once you are pointing your mobile phone camera on your surrounding area. Based on this, KDDI is working to enhanced and tweak this system with their own solution in order to offer more information, as well as being capable to download Data or listen to music directly from your Smarthpone screen.
KDDI is also offering you the possibility to interact with some virtual characters and make them popping up in different location and size.
The idea behind this work is to provide to companies and corporation another business tool to better market their services and products.
Note : This project has already been display in 2009 at CEATEC, but has been largely improved since then.
