Shopping spree with a Storm Trooper at Akihabara

Danny of DannyChoo.com and myself took a stroll around Akihabara yesterday, and not just any stroll… nonono, Storm Trooper style (you know, those Star War soldiers). Danny recently bought the whole thing and I just took my camera and we went out to test the Storm Trooper effect on the Akihabara fauna on a Sunday… and here are the 59 pictures of our crusade!!!

Ready ?

So, a walk amongst the crowd, just to gauge the reactions… and there were some outbreaks of surprise… but we have to admit that it looks quite impressive, especially with the gun.

Whatcha lookin’ at?

Immediately we created a riot that we did not anticipate at all…

A number of women wanted to have their picture taken with Danny… and of course, my presence wasn’t required by any of the women!

So I can tell you one thing: whether you’re ugly or not, success with Japanese wome is guaranteed if you have a Storm Trooper costume on. I even asked two Japanese men whether being a StormTrooper rocked, and this is what they answered, so I guess it does rock after all.

So that’s not all, but we do have some shopping to do, right?

So Sir, what do you think of that puppet over there?

Aaah Beky… nice turkey…

All that shopping sharpens the appetite, and this is what Danny The Storm Trooper will put in his stomach…

Yes, a sushi is cooler! And on the BlackStar, the food isn’t that great after all!

It’s funny to see what an effect a Storm Trooper costume has on the person that wears it… Danny had the urge to guard whatever he saw.

“And beware children, never park illegally!”

Papers please

Is our Storm Trooper a biker?

Ok, that’s not it, but where are those puppets again?

Oh yes, over there!

Damn, the boss is there? What on earth is he doing there?

Phew… it’s a fake… let’s continue with the shopping…

Wow, cute puppet there!

I confirm, VERY cute!

Hey Daimaou, what do you think of that one?

And that one?

Hehehehe, I’m famous, they even have Sand Trooper puppets of me!

Sexy!

Wow…

Ok, let’s check my messages now.

It’s ok, let’s proceed with the shopping… Hmmm, nothing but antiques, those phones go back 600 years or so!

Ok, a game of DS and PS2.

A small tour at Mr and Mrs Potato for a good old console.

No more money left, only one “baito” left to make a quick buck.

That’s it, stay tuned for a Yokohama version soon!
