4 concept PC’s from NEC at the WPC Expo 2005

At NEC’s there were 4 concept PC’s to be discovered. We had the chance to have some additional information on the devices from Mr. I. Nonoyama, the chief designer from NEC.

The MIM: a lot of Japanese are replacing that big desktop by a laptop, and even though it’s much smaller than a desktop, you can do better and offer something like the MIM, a flat screen with an integrated machine that can also double as a TV.

Then we have the Flexible NT, a concept that allows you to use the PC in any position. This machine is really mind-blosing, and we really hope it reaches mass production!

The we have the Rosso, a PLEASURE Center. this machine has been designed to enjoy its A/V functions and games. For the design, Mr Nonoyama got his inspiration from modern pianos.

And finally the very surprising TVi, a mixture of a laptop and a 17″ TV. As you can see, this machine can be used as a normal laptop or as a DVD player (without keyboard) and once it is docked, it’s a TV with DVD player.
