New Firmware 3.40 available for PS3, comes with a bunch of new features

Announced to be available from today, the new Firmware 3.40 for PS3 brings such new features to players as:
1) PlayStation Plus, Sony’s new subscription-based service;
2) a new Video editor/uploader to the PlayStation 3′s XrossMediaBar (XMB) enabling users to edit and upload movies directly to YouTube and Facebook;
3) a new network based Photo sharing feature allowing you to upload, browse and comment on photos on Facebook and Picasa Web Album as well as allowing you to share your photos between your PlayStation Network friends and also to print photos from Photo Gallery
