I can see lots of uses for something like this, especially if you have a projector set-up where the projector is a significant distance away from your source gear. HDMI is notoriously finicky when it comes to cable lengths and signal quality. If you have an installation which requires lots of turns and runs up and down walls for the cable, the meters can add up quickly. This could also be very valuable for presentations in large rooms so you don’t have to worry about somebody tripping over an HDMI cable and either moving/knocking down your projector or computer (I’ve seen it happen). As long as there’s no sacrifice in image/sound quality, I’m all for it.
