New X-Link Universal Remote Control for Xbox 360

Overshadowed by all those news about the new Xbox Slim, Kinect motion control and the new Mac Mini from E3, we decided to give the new X-link Universal Control a belated chance. It is produced by the California-based SMK-Link Electronics Corp., formed in 2007 by the incorporation of Interlink Electronics’ branded and OEM remote control divisions into the SMK Electronics Corp., which is known to be the World’s largest manufacturer of remote controls. Drawing strength from the success of their previous Blu-Link universal remote control for Playstation 3, SMK-Link have come up with the X-Link Universal Control for Xbox 360. First of all it supports not only all the Xbox 360 models including the latest one as well as more than 400 brands of standard and HDTV televisions and flatscreens, 150 VCR brands, 200 Satellite Receiver models, 100 Cable TV Receiver brands, 50 DVR models and 200 home theater surround sound systems. And the second and third highlights would be its so-called “advanced learning” function as it “learns” button assignments from existing remotes, and it can keep in its Non-volatile memory all the button assignments even if you remove 2 AA batteries.
Available since June 16, it comes for about $29.95.
“SMK’s new X-Link Universal Remote Control for Xbox 360 is the definitive ‘single remote’ solution for Xbox 360 users”
