Fujitsu to adopt new brand design for their pledge of “Shaping Tomorrow with You”

As part of their new brand commitment to commemorate their 75th anniversary “Shaping Tomorrow with You”, (announced March 29, 2010), Fujitsu have adopted a new graphic design for their brand derived from the letter “F” of their logo giving the impression of a “dialogue box” which itself is meant to symbolize “dialogue with customers”. According to the announcement made today, they will soon start employing the new design worldwide.
Tokyo, June 18, 2010 — Fujitsu announced today that, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of its foundation, it will introduce, worldwide, a new visual identity to express the brand promise, “shaping tomorrow with you.”
The new design symbolizes the importance of developing a dialogue with customers, a crucial concept in making the brand promise a reality. To convey this idea, the new graphic design is derived from the “F” in Fujitsu’s logo.
The Fujitsu Group’s new brand promise, “shaping tomorrow with you,” articulates the importance Fujitsu places on working with its customers to contribute to their success, building long-term partnerships, and harnessing the power of information and communications technology to enable people to expand their possibilities.
In an effort to convey this sentiment in all of its business activities, the Fujitsu Group will begin to employ the new brand design worldwide.
Features of the Visual Identity
* The design embodies the significance of developing a dialogue with customers, an important approach in making Fujitsu’s brand promise a reality.
* By associating the company’s new graphic design—which symbolizes this dialogue—with the “F” in Fujitsu’s logo, a symbol of the Fujitsu Group, the company is emphasizing its distinctive corporate character.
In striving to further transform itself into a truly global corporation, the Fujitsu Group plans to use this visual identity to improve recognition of Fujitsu around the world. This new visual identity reaffirms Fujitsu’s commitment to working with customers to bring about a prosperous future.
