Samsung’s first pico projector, the SP-H03, now available in South Korea

Samsung SP-H03 pico projector

It was just 9 days ago that we talked about the SP-H03 as it was announced in the US. Now it is available in the South Korean market…and now we can offer you more pictures of it..

Seoul–June 18, 2010 — Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, today announced its first pico projector, bringing a bright, affordable, portable and powerful projector to presenting business professionals everywhere.

The SP-H03 is the perfect solution for any performer or presenter on the go. At only 210g, or 130g without a battery, the device is lighter than many smart phones. The detachable battery, which lasts up to two hours in Eco mode, means you can give your presentation without hunting for an outlet or extension cord.

Even in such a compact, mobile package, the SP-H03 can still handle powerful presentations: the 30-ANSI lumens is the brightest among pico projectors, and the device projects a brighter, clearer image on screens from 9 to 80 inches. Whether showing a PowerPoint slide at a conference or an HD movie at home, the SP-H03 provides the best image possible.

With 1GB internal memory, documents, video, photos and music can be loaded directly onto the SP-H03 for the smoothest possible presenting experience. The device also supports external storage from a MicroSD slot or USB port, meaning size is no object for presentations.

You can experience maximized efficiency of usage via various interfaces such as PC, AV composite in, USB, Micro SD card & tripods. Through this connectivity, you can connect the SP-H03 with your net book, camcorder, camera & smart phone, allowing you to experience Samsung’s image quality on screens of any size.

The pico projector market is a rapidly-growing one, as corporations globalize and professionals travel more often than ever. The SP-H03 is the perfect solution for travelling professionals who want to give presentations without all the hassle of new devices, searching for the right cables and constant connectivity issues. For mobile workers, salesmen and even students, the SP-H03 offers a better solution: just turn on the projector, connect it with your memory card or computer and give your presentation.

“The SP-H03 was designed to be extremely portable, eliminating the hassle and setup issues often encountered by presenters as they travel from organization to organization,” said JinHwan Kim, Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “By creating a convenient, portable, powerful and inexpensive device, Samsung is poised to assert its leadership at the top of this market.”

This projector has had a lot of coverage, and I don’t understand why. Yes it is tiny and yes it is Samsung. But, there are better projectors out there. Adapt do a great range, like the 450 Pro, which is brighter than this (100 lumens) has really good speakers, and digital TV built in. It may be a bit bigger but it still fits in the palm of your hand.
