Toshiba to release new 128GB NAND flash memory

Portable devices, Smartphone, iPhone, PMP are getting faster, stronger bigger. And this without any surprise that Toshiba Japan announced today they will put new embedded Flash memory of 128GB (THGBM2T0DBFBAIF) on the Japanese Market.
Introduced as the largest capacity Memory, this new flash memory is mainly dedicated to portable device like Smartphones, camera, PMP, etc… According to the Japanese company, the 128GB memory combines 16 64Gbit (8 GB) NAND chips using 32nm process technology, integrating a dedicated controller, in a small form factor (17x22x1.4mm).
Toshiba announced the first samples should be shipped on September, while the mass productions expected to begin the fourth quarter of 2010.
Note that Toshiba also plan to release a 64GB sample using 64Gb NAND chip in august too.
