Nintendo 3DS officially announced at E3

A couple months ago, Nintendo was teasing us with a press release announcing new DS capable to display 3D, while Sharp was introducing a new 3D / 2D Glassless LCD touchscreen, designed for mobile devices.
After many speculation, this is officially official, the 3DS has been unveiled yesterday night during E3 press conference. However, at this moment, Nintendo didn’t say any word regarding the price, or the official release date.
Concerning the specs, this new toys should feature a 3.5 inch 3D LCD screen with a resolution of 800 x 240 for the upper part. However, it seems this screen won’t be touchscreen. The bottom part is a 3.02 inch LCD Touch screen that provides a resolution of 320 x 240. Our 3DS also features two outer VGA camera for 3D pictures, a Gyro sensor, a motion sensor, a “slide pad” that appears to be an analog stick (it allows 360-degree analog input).
Measuring 74mm x 134mm x 21mm, for 230g, the 3DS is also equipped with an improved Wi-Fi system, SD memory card slot, Stereo speakers, a lithium ion battery and should be retro compatible with DS and DSi games.
Lastly, several new games should be available for this new toy, with Madden, Ninja Gaiden, Resident Evil revelations, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Ridge Racer, Samurai Warriors 3D, Dead or Alive 3D, or Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle…
