NEC to launch Android Tablet “LifeTouch” in Japan

Also named as “Cloud Communicator” as it allows businesses to have access to NEC servers for cloud computing apps, the LifeTouch comes in 219mm x 119mm x 13.9mm dimension, sports a 7-inch TFT LCD screen with 800×480 resolution, runs on Android 2.1, and weighs just 400 grams. Other specs include ARM Cortex A8 CPU, Mobile DDR 256MB, SD/SDHC slot, two USB 2.0 ports, 3MP camera, Wi-Fi 802.11b/11g, Bluetooth Ver.2.1 + EDR, internal mono mic, internal stereo speaker, GPS, accelerometer and 8 hours of battery life. It also supports both stylus and finger.
No word on pricing, yet but it will be available in Japan in October this year.
