Sony announced their Type X Living officially this morning at CEATEC. It’s nothing more or less than a Type X (the killer PC with 8 TV tuners, Pentium D820 at 2.8Ghz, 1Tb of HDD space, 1Gb of RAM and everything in HDMI) and this is a “living room” version of it, cut into 2 parts with on one side the PC part (DVD, HDD, OS) and on the other side the 8 HD TV tuners (that can also be used on other Sony PC’s). We had the opportunity to play with this monster this morning, and were completely blown away, Sony did a magnificent job to make the use of this PC on a TV screen as smooth as possible through the remote control.
