FIC to Introduce its Latest 14-inch Diamond Notebook at Computex
Taking on HTC first Diamond, our 14″ Diamond Notebook from FIC comes with a “angular” yet elegant deigns that standout of actual production. Depending of your configuration of Choise the Diamond PCA46 will is capable to support different CPU going from the i3/i5 and Core i7 (up to 35W), runs on an Intel HM55 Core Chip, comes with an Intel GMA HD grapich display, 2GB or RAM (8GB Max), WiFi, USB, eSata, HDMI, 3G with HSDPA, Bluetooth, Webcam… and a 14″ WXGA monitor with a 1366×768 resolution.
“This is a brand-new 14-inch notebook from FIC, we want to implant a differentiation in creating the Diamond,” says Alex Dee, the Vice President of FIC Product Marketing. “There’s a best design that was achieved in the Diamond, we’ve been able to include high performance, yet still retain a weight of only 1.95 kg.”
In addition to sporting the latest Intel Calpella platform, an optional ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5430 discrete graphics, 8GB of system memory, 320GB hard drive, DVD Super Multi, an optional finger print interface, the Diamond also makes use of FIC’s revolutionary, a stunning formation of brushed aluminum metal, several diamond-cut facets with equipping a stylish isolating keyboard in typing position.
“Like 14” Otter series we’ve launched earlier in this January, the Diamond is also equipped with a switchable graphic function to optimize the best power management,” states Alex Dee, the Vice President of FIC product marketing. “A finger gesture on the touch pad helps users use two fingers to scroll, tap and zoom in, out for quick operation on the objects without using a mouse.”
With Diamond’s multiple communication interfaces including Giga LAN through wired connection, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth and ultra-fast HSDPA through wireless connection, the Diamond offers a rich data transmission and online experience all in this notebook, allowing users browse online freely with a broadband connection.
FIC offers two models for Diamond series. The model PCA46 and PCA47 are both powered by the Intel HM55 chipset, showcased the same Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors. PCA47 features an ATI Mobility Radeon HD5430 of comprising a DDR3 1GB VRAM while the PCA46 is integrated in Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD.
