The shock resistant portable HDD

IO-DATA presents the HDP-U (40 to 120Gb) with a shock resistant casing, the I-O Shock-Proof Logic. It protects the 2.5″ HDD against shocks and according to the manufacturer, you can drop the casing with the HDD inside from a height of 80cm 100 times without that the HDD is damaged. The small print mentions nevertheless that they are not responsible for broken discs or data loss, and you really should not try to break the 100 times barrier just for fun by smahing it into the ground with great force or throwing it at the speed camera next to the road. IO-DATA seems to have blind faith in this product… crazy!
