Samsung to release “Galaxy S” Android Smartphone in Asia this June

Got official on March 23, Samsung’s Android-based smartphone Galaxy S will be launched in Asia from June this year. Just like Samsung’s Bada-based smartphone the ” Wave”, it boasts above all a Super AMOLED screen but with a bigger display (4-inch compared to the 3.3-inch of the “Wave”). And according to CNET Asia‘s interview with Luke Lee, senior product manager for mobile phones, although initially shipped with Android 2.1 (Eclair), it will be offered an upgrade to the latest Android 2.2 (Froyo).
The price tag is set around at S$ 1,098 (Singapore Dollars).
