FOMA SA700iS GPS by SANYO

After having a look at MP3 players from this manufacturer, let’s discuss this 3G FOMA phone. It has a GPS Moving Map, 1.3MP camera, 2.2″ QVGA screen, MiniSD slot and (a tiny) 8Mb of internal storage capacity. The phone measures 101x51x25mm for 117g.

Needless to say that it can be connected to a PC and it also has the PicBridge function to be connected to a printer.

Are you charged every time you take advantage of the GPS-functionality, or is it actually receiving data from satellites? I’m guessing the data’s transferred using the mobile phone network (one of them), and so you’d be running a tab when using this. :/
