Pandora comes to your dashboard thanks to Pioneer and iPhone

PandoraLink for Pioneer in-dash navigation unit

The recipe is simple: an iPhone, either Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT or AVIC-X920BT in-dash navigation system, and the “PandoraLink for Pioneer” Application from the App Store. With the PandoraLink app made available for free since yesterday, now the only thing you need to do is to run it on your iPhone, connect it via the USB cable to either unit. And Voila! You are promised to have all the functions you are used to with Pandora and what’s more, you enjoy navigating on the 7-inch or 6.1-inch touch screen displays of the units.

So all sounds good with the only thing rather lame, that is, the connection has to be done with a USB cable rather than over Bluetooth.

The USB cable restriction is true for most stereos, AFAIK. Hence why the iPhone is an impractical audio source in your car. Nobody wants to plug their phone into the car every time they get in. So instead just use a dedicated iPod in the glove box.
