Sony introduce its APS-C size compact Shooter with the NEX-5 and NEX-3.

Back in March we had the chance to discover in the flesh Sony APS-C first prototype, and today, while I was playing with Professor Furukawa latest wonder at the Shibaura Institute of Technology, Kei went at Sony press conference to discover these 2 new compact Shooters from Sony.
Our 2 14.2Mpix with 25 AF points and ISO up to 12800 cameras comes with many little improvements and nifty little wonders with for the support of SDXC as well as Memory Stick, YEAH !!!!, an articulating 2.95-inch LCD, 3D Photo mode with its “3D Swing Panorama Mode”, where you will be able to 3D photo while shooting panoramic photos. Removable lenses with a E 16mm F2.8, E 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 OSS and E 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 OSS and different Fish-eye and Ultra Wide converters. And last but not least a new stunning touch interface made to fit everyone needs when it comes to shoot photo and video for pleasure or not, as well as featuring in-depth photo tips to better improve your pictures and style.
Coming in 2 different flavors, the NEX-3, the entry level one comes with MP4 Video recording capabilities with 720/30p and the NEX-5 comes however with disappointed AVCHD mode with 1080/60i video recording, Seriously Sony, 60i ?!?!?, and a Lame ass MP4 HDV mode recording in 1440×1080/30p. Personally speaking and while we did not had the chance to fully test these 2 cameras yet, there is NO way in HELL I am going for a 1080/60i or HDV capable shooter in 2010…
