NEC introduced a news CFC super-efficient Cooling System for PCs
If Water-cooling is one of the most efficient and silent ways to cool down your CPU, NEC decided that this was far the best way to do the job and that it could be even done in a more eco-friendly manner. Using liquid CFC (Chlorofluocarbon) substitute circulating around our computer CPU, NEC can claim a perfect cooling system that just happen to use 60% less energy than your average water-cooling one and up to 80% compared to the good old air-cooling method.
If you think this is already “cool” , just to let you know, apparently NEC do not think so as according to them, added to these pretty impressive data, they also made sure that this solution would also save you some more $. Targeting to offer effective solution at an attractive price, NEC claim it is about 70% cheaper to produce than the average water-cooling one.
NEC plan to start installing and using this technology within 2010 and hope to drastically decrease its power consumption charge by more than 40%.
