Sony Google “Dragonpoint” TV details to be disclosed in May

It was just yesterday we talked about the Google TV plans of Samsung in pursuant to Sony’s initiative in such direction. And today, we are referring back to our Sony Google TV news as it seems Sony, Google and Intel have since then been advancing with concrete steps for the realization of the project, so much so that according to Bloomberg, three companies will gather at a conference that Google will organize in San Francisco on May 19 and May 20 and discuss new products. Reportedly there Intel will unveil a customized Atom chip for the new version of Google’s Android operating system by the name “Dragonpoint” developed for the TV.
I don’t know about you but it is sort of fun to see Samsung considering to adopt the same idea that Sony came up with to win its lost ground back against Samsung and LG and would be ironic if Samsung and eventually LG do really implement the idea and keep beating Sony in the race.
