LG GT540 launching in U.K and Europe as LG GT540 Optimus

LG today announced that its GT540, an Android powered smartphone revealed back in January, will be available in the U.K. and Europe shortly as the LG GT540 Optimus. The device runs Android 1.6, comes with Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 1500mAh battery, a 3 megapixel camera, GPS, a 3″ QVGA touchscreen and support both DivX and H.264.
Definitively not the most amazing smartphone ever, but it could comes in a quite attractive price and convince people to jump into the Smartphone world.
