Nintendo 3DS to hit the shelves this October?

Nintendo 3DS

As we are coming closer to the official inauguration of Nintendo’s latest mobile gaming console the “Nintendo 3DS” in June at the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, we are shaken by the report of UK video game industry source that there are plans to release it not in March 2011 as stated before but this October. The interesting point drawn attention is as you may know Microsoft’s Project Natal, the add-on peripheral for Xbox which will enable users to interact with the game console without the need of a controller, is also scheduled to be unveiled in June at E3. So is this swerve from the original plan a strategical one to do with the Project Natal? Who knows..but there is one interesting bit of info that may be noteworthy to know considering the birthplace of Nintendo DS is Japan and it is popular here than anywhere else in the World.

According to the results of the online survey conducted by the Japanese research company “goo research” based on the answers of 1,059 people, Japanese people do not seem to be very enthusiastic about owning a Nintendo 3DS as it is only 8.8% of them who want to buy one. The rest opted either for “interested in it but don’t want it” or simply “don’t want it”.
