Nec Update its LaVie S with a Core i5.

The LaVie S, where the S stands for Slim, is Nec new 35mm thin thick notebook powered by a Core i5-430M (2.26GHz) on a HM55 Express Chipset. Our PC is offered on it s LS550/AS6 version with 4GB of RAM, 500GB of HDD, a DVD Super Slim and a 15.6” WXGA with LED Backlight monitor.
Other features also include 3 USB 2.0 port, WiFi BGN, HDMI out, and proposed with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit at 150,000 Yen.
If you are looking for a cheaper model you can still grab a LS350/AS6 powered by a Core i3-350M (2.26GHz), with a 320GB HDD and 2GB of Ram from 135,000 Yen of if you are really desperate with a Celeron P4500 (1.86Ghz) at 115,000 Yen.
