Toshiba Regza Ful HD TV

Toshiba UK promised full cash back of selected Toshiba products purchased between April 12th and June 10th, if England become the champion of the 2010 World Football Cup in South Africa. The deal covers Full HD 1080p REGZA TVs in sizes 80cm (32″) and above, as well as any laptop featuring the Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors.

Nice win-win game!

Press Release

London, UK, 8th April 2010 – Toshiba UK today announces the launch of its new ‘England Expects’ product promotion, which enables consumers to claim back the cost of selected Toshiba products if England are crowned world champions this July. The promotion covers any of the range of award-winning Full HD 1080p REGZA TVs in sizes 80cm (32″) and above, as well as any laptop featuring the Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors.

The promotion will offer Toshiba customers across the UK added cause for celebration if England win this summer’s tournament. Should the team lift the world’s most coveted trophy in South Africa on 11th July, anyone who purchases selected Toshiba products between 12th April and 10th June will be able to reclaim the full cost of the item – offering a unique way to celebrate the team’s achievement.

To be in with a chance of winning alongside the team, consumers simply need to register at Toshiba’s dedicated football microsite (www.toshiba.co.uk/england) within seven days of purchase and, if England go on to lift the trophy, they are free to claim their cash back within 21 days of the final.

2010 will give sports fans their first taste of accessible high-definition (HD), world-class football, and, with Toshiba’s extensive line-up of HD products, users can enjoy every goal in perfect clarity. The qualifying line-up includes both REGZA TVs and multimedia laptops, offering users a number of ways to follow this summer’s football – whether watching at home, recording content to enjoy again, or streaming live match action on the move.

Toshiba’s REGZA SL and WL LED backlit LCD TV series, two of the qualifying products, are packed with the latest imaging technologies, combining smooth picture processing with integrated Freeview HD tuners – enabling football fans to watch all the action in stunning HD quality with no subscription required. Toshiba’s range of laptops offer the flexibility to enjoy from wherever you are, with powerful Intel processors and advanced multimedia performance that ensures you’ll never miss a moment.

“This summer we will see one of the world’s most important football events and we wanted to do as much as we could to demonstrate our passion and really get behind the England team,” said Matt McDowell, Marketing Director, Toshiba Information Systems (UK) Ltd. “We’re exceptionally proud to be backing the team with the ‘England Expects’ promotion, and it will give fans an added incentive to enjoy this summer’s finals and celebrate with the squad if they are successful. The England team has a great chance at this year’s tournament, and as official consumer electronics supplier, we’ll be supporting them all the way.”

In November 2009 Toshiba UK announced its status as the official consumer electronics supplier to the England football team. As part of that partnership, Toshiba will supply the England team and The FA with a range of the latest LCD TV, portable DVD and laptop products; helping to keep the players entertained off the pitch and aiding their pursuit of peak performance.
