Asus Latest Netbook, the Eee PC 1001PX to be launched in Europe
The new Eee PC 1001PX is actually an updated version of the previous Eee PC 1001P model that was promoted as the most economical netbook from ASUS. This latest model has carbon fiber-like lid and matte display instead of the glossy one.

Other specs are retained the same: 10.1” LED-backlit WSVGA ( 1024 x 600 res.)display, Intel Atom N450 (1.66 GHz)CPU, 1GB of RAM, Intel GMA 3150 graphics, Card reader (MMC/SD/SDHC), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, VGA, 3 USB 2.0 ports, RJ45, multi-touch pad, 0.3 Mpixel webcam, 1.27 kg of weight.
In addition, there will be two versions one with Windows XP, 160 GB HDD SATA II and 3 cell battery (up to 5 hrs) and one with Windows 7 Starter, 250 GB HDD SATA II and 6 cell battery (up to 9 hrs) with the price tags of €241 ($326) and €300 ($406) respectively.
