MP3 player for jogging

RWC, a Japanese reseller/importer of Chinese products, presents the AREX Shacariki, an MP3 player that is designed for jogging purposes. As you can see on the picture, the player is worn on the arm. It’s available in 4 colours and it has 512Mb of memory. It connects through USB 2.0/1.1 and is MP3/WMA compatible. The battery should last about 5 marathons (12h) and it measures 75x37x25mm and weighs 30g. It should cost 79 EUR on the Japanese market.

To last for five marathons you’d have to be a spectacularly fast runner, coming in for each just 20 minutes behind the world record holder.

More realistic for readers of this blog is a 4-5 hour finish time, meaning this player would last for 2 marathons, 3 if you’re motivated enough to not turn it on before the whistle.
