Sanyo new Gorilla PND now available in Japan
Sanyo invited the Press today during lunch hours (Man I am hungry) to discover their latest series of Gorilla PND with the NV-SD740DT, NV-SB570DT and NV-SB550DT.
Besides some major and elegant Design changes, Sanyo’s New Gorilla features many little improvements for a further enhanced user experience including bringing an even faster and more responsive UI and GPS localization (10sec Max from cold boot) on our new Series of PND.
Available in 3 different flavors with the High-End 7” NV-SD740DT, all our PNDs are offered with a basic 16GB of Memory (SSED), LED backlight, more detailed Maps with a 5m maximum Zoom, 5 Different levels of color scale for a better readability, a landscape and Portrait mode with the possibility of using the PND either while walking/riding a bike or like any other GPS as mounted in a Car and up to 4h30 of battery life on GPS Mode.
More than a Simple PND
Sanyo also include an advanced Photo, Music and Video player where files can either be stored on your PND’s internal 16GB SSD or on an SD Card. Sanyo also include on all its new Gorillas a basic Photo Frame with different slideshows including a Clock or a Calendar mode along with the usual 1Seg TV tuner and, as announced, up to 3h of battery life when using one of the 3 New Gorillas as a PMP and watching video.
Model Specific Details
Other specific features include a 2x1W stereo speaker set, a 7” monitor, a VICS Traffic modul e and an external battery charger for the NV-SD740DT.
The middle range NV-SB570DT, include a 5” monitor, a mono 1W Speaker, a VICS Traffic module, while its little brother the NV-SB550DT with its 5” monitor does not have a VICS Traffic module.
