Akihabara News Visit Nextro, Your Apple Retro Computing service center

Being replaced by a wave or should I say a pandemic or border line Manga, Anime and other Doll Stuff, The Akihabara District has changed for the worse… Yes back in 2001 when I first arrived in Japan, Akihabara had everything that all geeks dreamed of, a pure balance between, Animation, Manga, Dolls Stuff, Computing, Video Game, High-End Audio goods, impressive 2nd hands shop… But 9 years later… Things have changed and not for the better.

Luckily for us, Geeks, there are away from the Chuo Dori, Akihabara main road, some nice little suprises, like for example Nextro an Apple Retro Computing service center owned by Apple Geeks who’s goal is not only to trade and sell 2nd and computer from Apple, but also repair them, tweak them and even build up something brand news from a good old Macintosh Classic Color.

I am not going to spoil you the fun to discover in image and video this store, but if you ever wanted to give a 2nd life to your old Mac by removing its motherboard, CPU and to a certain extends its cathodic screen (If necessary) by installing a brand New Mac Mini with a new LCD… To finally own a unique piece of computing, powerful enough to be used everyday with a nice retro touch!
