Samsung offers free 3D glasses as incentive to early adopters in the US

Samsung offers free 3D glasses as incentive to early adopters in the US

In a bid to tempt those who can’t wait to be drowned in 3D, Samsung are offering a free ‘Starter Kit’ when one of their 3D TV’s and 3D Blu-Ray player/ Home cinema system are bought together. This kit consists of a bundled 3D animated movie ‘Monsters and Aliens’ and two pairs of 3D specs that, on their own, are set to cost a whopping $350!

Selected Samsung 3D TV’s are available stateside right now. Sadly Samsung won’t be selling these sets in Japan, but we will wait and see hope that Japan-based consumers see similar incentives as the 3D revolution moves steadily forward…

    Early adopter?

I bought one of their 3D Ready DLPs several years ago, I guess that is too early of an adopter for them. Anyway it works great with playing PC games in stereoscopic 3D using the iz3D drivers, but samsung kept saying on their website that they would have a kit for it, and as far as I know never came through. I ended up buying some shutter glasses that were for the PC and they just so happen to work.
