The first UWB HDTV television in the world

Freescale Semiconductor and the Chinese manufacturer Haier present the first UWB (Ultra-Wideband) enabled LCD TV. Linked to a DVD player that uses the same technology, you’ll be able to stream Mpeg2 files at 110MB/s up to a distance of 20 metres (which can be upped to 50 metres in the future). The Haier TV that is presented here is the 37″ V6 model, which is HDMI (1080i) compliant. This model will be on sale in china in a few months and in the USA next year. We do not have any information on the price.
