Pentax has just announced the upgrade of its latest X70 digital camera with the new model X90. They still share some features in common such as the same 12 MP sensor and still the same 720p video recording but X90 overshadows its predecessor not only with its super zoom 26x optical zoom lens with a zoom range from a wide-angle 26mm to super telephoto 676mm (in the 35 mm format) equivalent with an “intelligent zoom” in software to reach 162.5X (4,225mm) but also an electronic viewfinder with dipotre adjustment and longer battery life.
Weighing approx. 428 gr (with battery and SD memory card), this new Pentax model will be available in Japan this year as of mid-March. No price info.
