[AOU 2010] Mechatrax new Arcade Robot Game prototype is industry’s future!

Due to the high popularity of home gaming consoles, the Arcade Industry struggles to find new ideas. There are of course exceptions with Konami and Taito for example but still, the market is shrinking and getting new ideas or concepts is now difficult… However, with companies like Mechatrax, Arcade games or UFO Catchers style products have now a better hope.
The company introduced last year their Robot UFO catcher, where you control a small robot to “catch” stuff in order to win and last week at 2010 AOU, the company introduced a new prototype, where you have to control dropping colors ball into their appropriate drop area by controlling a real little robot.
The concept seems pretty straight forward, but we see real potential in this kind of game. Having a different approach to the amusement business by introducing something new and that many people are fascinated about, Robots, Mechatrax has really a good potential here to change things in the industry.
