[AOU 2010] Taito’s Amazing GAIA ATTACK 4 is what Arcade Games should always be !

Taito GAIA ATTACK 4

As any major arcade game manufacturer, Taito had its own little booth at AOU 2010, and although not a lot of things were actually brand new, we stumbled upon their latest wacky arcade game GAIA ATTACK 4… Yep the name sounds cheap and the Logo as well, but oh man it’s has been a long, very long time since I last had such fun with a shooting game.

I am not sure if GAIA ATTACK 4 has a real story, but simply put, you and your friends (4 players max.) are some kind of “Ghostbusters” killing Ghosts as well as Aliens across the world. This concept is nothing new, however the number of stupid Aliens and Ghosts is totally astonishing and you will have to shoot like a maniac in order to survive the experience… Once again, GAIA ATTACK 4 looks cheap, but this game is definitively one of the funniest games I’ve had the pleasure to play at AOU 2010.

Taito Music Gungun

Another shooting game was at Taito’s Booth, the “Music Gungun”, but this time let’s forget about horrible aliens and monsters, and rather concentrate on cute little ones. Yes, Music Gungun is made for the younger ones especially girls, and the concept here is to shoot monsters in rhythm by following one of the many different kinds of music…

Unfortunately my daughter is a bit too young to play with Music Gungun so I am really looking forward to her 6th birthday to play Music Gungun with her… Totemo Kawaiiiii (So Cute!)

Taito Hopping Road

Hopping Road now is also available for kids! Back in 2009 Taito had invited us to test their latest Game Hopping Road, more on this Game here after the jump, and now at 2010 AOU we had the pleasure to discover its “Kid” version … If you have kids and you live in Japan, try to find one of Taito’s Hopping Road kids versions as this game is not only fun but will also let them burn quite some calories!

Great that ‘GAIA ATTACK 4′ is a game developed for Taito by a UK based developer (Gamewax).
Did you guys also see the Taito puzzle game ‘With Tears for Everyone’ at AOU?
