MWC: All-inclusive Android SIM card prototype from South Korea’s SK Telecom
This is not your ordinary cell phone SIM card as it packs processor, memory, a gigabyte of flash storage space and Google’s Android operating system. It is reported that presently SK Telecom does not intend to bring it to the market but the concept is so cool..and will sure be there sometime in the future.
Also this week at Mobile World Congress (MWC), SIM card-maker Sagem Orga (HQ in Germany) showed off World’s first Wireless LAN SIM card. Basically, it is a SIM card which via Telenor’s built-in Wi-Fi module acts like a hotspot allowing computers and other devices to connect to the Internet through itself and the phone’s wireless connection.
