New Solar Powered Casio Eco-Baby-G “BGR300GR-3” WATCHes for the Environment

Casio seem to have found their eco-friendly recipe for their Baby-G line of watches, add some Tough Solar Technology, make it clad in Nature’s soul-soothing Green color and finally pack it in a recyclable box. There you go!

After all, It is high TIME for all of us to do something for the Environment, this way or another…Hence Eco-baby G ticks for the Nature with the power of Nature…for you.

Announced to be available in the US this March at $110.

DOVER, NJ-According to the Environmental Protection Agency, more than three billion batteries are thrown away each year by Americans, increasing the presence of heavy metals that cause toxic contamination to the environment and potentially the air we breathe. Inspired by the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day and a commitment to developing environmentally-friendly consumer products, Casio America, Inc. is proud to announce the addition of a new solar-powered timepiece to the company’s line of popular Baby-G watches.

Leading Casio’s “Go Green” spring collection of stylish watches with high functionality, the Eco-Baby-G incorporates the company’s Tough Solar Technology which increases battery life through the generation of electrical power from sunlight. Additionally, the watch’s recharging capability eliminates the need for battery changes, both decreasing battery consumption associated with traditional watches and helping to further remove hazardous waste from landfills.

With bright, vivid-colored accessories considered one of the hottest trends for the spring, Baby-G gives eco-conscious fashionistas a reason to “go green.” Consumers can add style and sustainability to their spring wardrobe, while celebrating the strides being made to preserve the environment.

From product to packaging, the BGR300GR-3 is enclosed in a recyclable box to assist in the green movement. Available in an earthy shade of green, the BGR300GR-3 stylishly coordinates with the eco-friendly movement, while bringing attention to the important environmental cause.

“We’re very excited to welcome this new eco-friendly timepiece to the Baby-G line,” said Shigenori Itoh, vice president of Casio’s Timepiece Division.“Casio is a company dedicated to supporting eco-friendly initiatives and we are very proud to introduce this solar-powered watch in conjunction with the celebration of Earth Day.”

The Eco-Baby-G design features white lettering and controls, with a silver aluminum bezel. The BGR300GR-3 will be available at select Macy’s stores and online at www.baby-g.com nationwide this March, with an MSRP of $110.
